Yesterday Mike Marshall, Bill Curry, Grant Boatwright and I hosted a luncheon for a dynamic young pastor, Matt Reybolds, of the great Midlothian Bible Church. We took over an hour to explain the ministry of Chains of Grace. I could see Matt, who is extremely intelligent, catching sight of the vision of our ministry. He appointed his church member, our Bill Curry, to keep the Chains of Grace ministry ever before him.
AFter lunch we talked about the latest house we are buying. It will need to be gutted and refurbished inside. When it is ready, it will hold eight men who would otherwise not have a decent home. The total cost should be less than $85,000, but, to do it, we will need your help.
In the evening I went to one of our sites to teach Old Testament survey to 8 faithful men and women. They are actively involved, while still residents with us, in sharing the gospel story in the most difficult of circumstances. They work 12 hour days but come out for the teaching each Wednesday night.
So, I am excited. At 2 am I rise to write to you about the Christ-centered ministry, Chains of Grace. When you rise to read, will you catch a glimpse of our great need?
Go to my Facebook fund raiser and donate through that venue for my birthday goal. /The goal this year is $2000. Two days before my birthday, we are over half way to our goal.
You can also go to our website at www.chainsofgrace.org and click on one of the Donate buttons. Please choose to give us $25 or more. Please make the choice to give us whatever amount you choose monthly. There is a button at the bottom of the page you can select to give us any amount monthly.
My next goal is to activate a group of 25 people who will give us $25 or more each month. We will certainly need to grow the number from there but 25×25 is a good place to start.
Help us save lives. Help us save souls. Help us save men and women.
One of the men in our Wednesday night class spoke today to his seven year old son via Face Time. This was the little boy’s first time ever to speak to and look at his father. We help families get back together.
Will you help us?
Please send a generous check to Chains of Grace at PO Box 1344 Midlothian, Texas 76065. I will join you in the giving, as always.
It is now 2:15 am and my writing is complete
