Chains of Grace Ministry provides re-entry supervision and support for men and women coming out of incarceration

Roughly one-half of the persons in our residential program are Registered Sex Offenders, or RSOs.

Here is what our re-entering citizens (parolees, offenders) have taught me in my time with Chains of Grace.

  • The issues that eventually led them to sexual offense started early.
  • Their issues started with exposure to some kind of pornography.
  • Their early exposure to pornography led to pornography addiction.
  • Pornography addiction led them to explore fetish porn, often involving younger victims and violence.
  • Porn addiction often results in functional impotence.

Please note our residents cannot enter our program without taking responsibility for their crime. We do not accept innocent people because they should not live with our criminals, reforming or not. So, please do not take  casual look at what we do or say and decide to tell us we are too lenient.

We are using this space to alert moms to the dangers their sons face from porn, drugs and alcohol. It takes no real courage for me to speak against porn, drug and alcohol addictions.

But we still keep getting told the same things by the men (and, increasingly by the women) who enter our program. They started with porn, it grew to be an addiction, it altered their way of living.

If everybody already knows the problem, why does it keep happening? Apparently, we are not doing enough to warn and supervise young men.
