Wellington Fought at Waterloo…

…not to advance arms or the armed forces. He fought at Waterloo, and elsewhere, for all his adult life, “…to preserve the England that produced such as gentlemen as these…”

For what, one wonders, would the commonest of persons fight to preserve? Sam Houston vied in Texas to extend the United States. Churchill spent his sixties in valiant defiance of the greatest hater in human history.

And Jesus the Christ died for all persons living and all persons to come.
